About me
I’ve spent years learning from dogs — clever, mischievous, full-of-personality pups who teach, heal, and occasionally rearrange your slippers. My stories and care remind dog owners like you just how much you love your pups.
Along the way, I’ve healed, learned, and been thoroughly outsmarted more times than I can count — and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
My mission
Every dog goes to bed with a full belly, feeling safe, loved, and utterly cherished.

Pawnderings — The Book
Pawnderings began with small stories — moments from dogs met on sits in Kent and south-west France. Cheeky, heartfelt, and quietly wise, they explore what animals can teach us about life, kindness, and the joy of noticing.
Pawnderings — The Book collects those reflections into a collection of tales that make you laugh, pause, and see the world through muddy pawprints and curious noses. Each story ends with a small prompt, inviting you to reflect on what doggy wisdom might mean in your own life.
A perfect gift for dog lovers — or anyone who enjoys seeing the world a little differently.

Hester is a true animal person, as well as being a really nice human person, of course. My cautious collie cross took to her immediately and my spaniel cross was soon sitting on her feet. Hester has all the qualities you need in a petsitter and I would welcome her back!

I knew when I first chatted to Hester that our animals would be loved and cared for while I was away and I wasn't wrong! Hester was a perfect pet sitter. She's self-sufficient and adaptable, happy to follow our pets' specific feeding routine and gave them lots of love. She even walked Gracie on the day she left so I could have a lie-in. In the meantime Hester has looked after Brian and Gracie a second time. Great to have a "regular" sitter who knows my animals querks!
